Meet Dai
As a gay Colombian-American living in Miami, my artistic journey began in graphic design, a path I followed for 16 years in Colombia and the United States. While I mastered the craft, I eventually felt professionally and personally stagnant. The artistic purpose I once held had been reduced to a technical skill—a void I was determined to fill. To find meaning again, I set out to create something with mind, heart, and clear purpose.
The result is GAYOMETRY, an intimate and social art project born from a personal paradigm shift. Through this work, I've learned to be more vulnerable, bold, and perceptive, fully embracing my identity and my homosexuality. By doing so, I've been able to re-examine my own past while honoring the collective history and present state of my community.
