Meet Dai
As a gay Colombian immigrant in the United States, my artistic journey began in graphic design, a path I followed for 13 years in Colombia. While I mastered the craft, I eventually felt professionally and personally stagnant. The artistic purpose I once held had been reduced to a technical skill, a void I was determined to fill.
To find meaning again, I set out to create something with concept, mind, and heart. The result is GAYOMETRY, an intimate and social art project born from a personal paradigm shift. Through this work, I've learned to be more vulnerable, bold, and perceptive, embracing my true self and my homosexuality. By doing so, I've been able to look at my own past and understand the current state of my gay community, recognizing its place in the world and in history.
